What is WeThinkCode?

WeThinkCode is a South African software development academy tackling the technical skills shortage and youth unemployment. They find bright young people to train through programs like this free boot camp, and in just 16 months, with the help of their tailored training model, the trainees can become competent backend developers!

Getting into tech without a degree

That is a common concern, but we have shown time and time again that a degree in computer science is not the only path to work in the tech industry. The most important thing is to get the right training that will give you the much-needed skills, such as software development.

It is also important to note that you will not be limited to software development once you’ve acquired these skills; it may also open doors for careers such as data analytics and development operations (DEV OPS).

What are the requirements for this boot camp?

Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
Applicants must hold one of the following: valid South African ID, valid passport with work permit or a valid asylum seekers permit
WeThinkCode is a full-time program; therefore, you will not be able to join the program if you are currently working or studying at another institution.
